Thursday Night Games Will Not Count—All Season

By Sheik

It's official:  The early Wednesday and Thursday night games will not count during the entire season. The only exceptions are the two Thanksgiving Day games on Thursday November 22. On Thanksgiving week (Week 12), the cutoff time for the ENTIRE WEEK will be 12:30 PM Eastern time.

Thank you for your comments about this issue. I know that some you blogged or submitted your opinions about the early games. Most of the comments were in favor of including the early games. But then again most of these comments came from the hardcore Analysts who never forget anything! As the PoolAdmin, I'm making the decision not to include the early games based primarily on participation levels. The simple fact is that we lose too many Analysts because of the early games.

In the future, my goal is to enhance the site so that you can enter or change your pick for an individual game right up until kickoff.  Ideally, if you miss an early game, then you could still enter the event and take a loss. I have no idea when I'll have a chance to make this happen, but it probably won't be this season.
