What you can do at

You can:

  • Enter your own picks (your opinion or forecast) about a future proposition (such as a football or basketball game) in a contest against other Analysts
  • Create new Events in which manages the invitation, registration, pick-submission, and secure financial transactions including entry fee collection and distribution of event purses.
  • Track your own and other AnalystsÆ event-by-event, season-by-season, and career record.
  • View historical events and significant statistical records from as far back as 2000 including Points Won, Events Won and other measures calculated on our continually amassing database of <%=application("numGames")%> game-picks.
  • Invite new Rookies to register and participate in upcoming events
  • Transfer points between Analysts
  • Instantly transfer funds from PayPal directly into your account
  • Have your picks sent to your SMS-compatible cell phone or mobile device


Well it all started in August or September of 1992. Who can really remember now? Anyway, an office pool was started by a recent UNC Wilmington graduate at an Alexandria, Virginia corporation. It started by circling teams on xeroxed sheets of paper and then handing them back to the administrator.

Over each successive year the "Administrator" became more adept at managing "The Pool" and its ever growing number of "Analysts". The xerox copies gave way to a word-processed document, which gave way to a spreadsheet, which became automated with macros, which begat an internet interface, which began distributing entries via email and posting "The Picksheet" on the web, which has now given way to this scalable, data driven, nth tier, financial-transaction-enabled, community-based internet event management application.
