Help with Cellular SMS (Short Message Service)

By Sheik can transmit picks to your wireless SMS-compatible mobile device via a short text message! Imagine having each week's picks right on your cell phone, Blackberry, PocketPC, SmartPhone, pager, or other SMS-compatible device. No PC or internet access required! SMS provides for sending/receiving text-based messages on a wide range of mobile devices. SMS messages are limited to 160 characters in the subject and message body (total). automatically transmits an SMS-formatted message to the "Email 3" address in your Analyst profile.

You must enter your mobile device address in the Email 3 field of your Analyst Profile for SMS to work. If you don't know the email address of your mobile device, check the list below. Most US cellular carriers use this format:

For example, If your cellular provider is Sprint and your cell phone number is 555-555-1212, then your SMS address is

Many providers support email aliases so that your cell phone number is not revealed. For example, Verizon users can register an alias at to give out instead of their phone number. Both and are valid addresses for the phone. If you don't know your carrier, enter the number in 123-456-7890 format at in the Reverse Phone Number Lookup field. Or, simply check your bill.
